Ethylene thiourea, CAS-96-45-7

The character of ETU(96-45-7)

ETU(CAS 96-45-7) is white crystal with a faint odor of ammonia. Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in ethanol, methanol, acetic acid and gasoline at room temperature, insoluble in acetone, ether, and chloroform.

The applications of ETU(96-45-7)

  1. ETU(Na-22) is soluble in hot alcohol solution. ETU can be used as copper plating brightener, which can be used in coordination with acid copper plating brightener M, SPS and so on.
  2. Used as accelerator for chloroprene rubber, chlorinated polyethylene rubber, epichlorohydrin rubber and polyacrylate rubber.
  3. An accelerator used as a synthetic rubber.
  4. ETU(Na-22) is an accelerator of imidazoline curing, which can be used in chloroprene rubber, epichlorohydrin rubber, chlorinated polyethylene and so on, especially suitable for being used as an accelerator for the non curing system of agmatine. Under 100-500℃ and choosing the proper matching system can be used for rapid optimum vulcanization, and the operation is safe. The vulcanized product has high tensile strength and little permanent compression deformation, the non vulcanization system used for W type (i.e. type 54-1 chloroprene rubber) has remarkable effect. It is usually used in conjunction with Zinc Oxide and Magnesium Oxide, mainly used in industrial products, coated wire, shoes, clothing and other neoprene products. Ethylene thiourea is an auxiliary brightener for copper sulfate. ETU is also used as an intermediate in fine chemicals for the manufacture of antioxidants, pesticides, fungicides, dyes, drugs and synthetic resins.
